With the SAP Business ByDesign Business scenario physical inventory processing, you can carry out an inventory in your warehouse. In addition, the scenario is supported by counting tasks. The warehouse manager creates an inventory document. The system then automatically creates counting tasks. Each inventory document can contain several counting tasks, which an assigned warehouse worker accesses via inventory task folders. This will help organize the counting related work in your warehouse.

Scenario overview

You can monitor the counting process and display detailed information on the progress and status of inventory count items and inventory documents in the preview. You can display the results of the count, including the differences compared to the book values. Using this detailed information, you can quickly identify any deviations that occur and react to them by initiating appropriate follow-up reactions, e.g. requesting recounts. Once you approve an inventory document, the system updates the inventory and inventory records for your finance department.
