With the SAP Business ByDesign Business scenario quality assurance (unplanned inspections), you can check the quality of products if you wish. You have the option of creating checks manually to add goods receipts, production activities or goods issues.

You can create, monitor and analyze these tests in the scenario, record the results, make quality decisions and, if necessary, initiate corrective or preventive measures.

With the business process Create and Prepare Tests, you can manually create and prepare tests and samples for:

• Checks on receipt of goods
  Incoming goods inspections for standard deliveries, first articles, customer returns and stock transfers
• Tests in production
  Intermediate and final tests for production
• Checks in shipping
  Final tests for customer deliveries

Part of this process is to manually create tests in the system and to create, take and prepare samples for the test.
Note that planned tests are automatically triggered based on a suitable process or production model.

The business process Edit Tests enables you to edit, monitor and analyze the tests of products, for example:

• Checks on receipt of goods
  Incoming goods inspections for standard deliveries, first articles, customer returns and stock transfers
• Tests in production
  Intermediate and final tests for production
• Checks in shipping
  Final tests for customer deliveries

Part of this process is to examine the samples taken for the test, record the results, make a decision about the quality of the tested products, and take corrective or preventive measures if necessary.
Planned tests are automatically triggered based on a suitable process or production model.
Unscheduled checks are triggered manually by the user.
