Video Series: End-to-End Manufacturing Business Case
Part 1: HTML5 user interface
Our video series is about the end-to-end business scenario “Manufacturing with SAP Business ByDesign”. Here, the entire process from lead to invoicing is run through with a focus on production. Among other things, CRM, project management, material consumption in the project, project accounting and many other areas of application are also discussed.
The first video in this series is about the surface of SAP Business ByDesign and how this has changed with the new HTML5 base.
So you can already familiarize yourself with the user interface and easily get started with our end-to-end business scenario.
Part 2: From lead to customer order
In the second video of our video series about the end-to-end business scenario “Manufacturing with SAP Business ByDesign” we deal with the path from a lead to a customer order.
In SAP Business ByDesign lead, opportunity, offer and customer order can be built on one another using the “follow-up action” function. This means that all data does not have to be re-entered manually and at the same time everything is completely documented in one document flow. It is also possible to create a project directly from the customer order. This is also discussed in this video.
Part 3: Project Management
In the third video of our video series about the end-to-end business scenario “Manufacturing with SAP Business ByDesign” we deal with project management.
In the course of the video we will concretise the project framework we have created so far and create a complete project from it. To do this, we will build individual project tasks on one another and approve the project. Then we assign employees to the respective project tasks and create an existing project order.
Part 4: Planning and producing material
In the fourth part of our video series, we will first plan our material and then finally produce it.
Here we go into more detail on which steps the production employee in SAP Business ByDesign should document so that the current production status is clearly understandable for everyone involved. With the completion of the production process, the finished products are then brought to their place of use, to the customer.
Part 5: Project accounting and reporting
In the fifth and last part of our video series, we deal with project accounting. Before the project is billed, we will first document the material consumption in the project and record the times worked by the employees on the project. We can then invoice the customer for our expenses and send them as a customer invoice.
The conclusion is an insight into the reporting system of SAP Business ByDesign . To do this, let’s take a closer look at the report on the balance sheet, income statement or cash flow statement.
