In today’s tip we would like to draw your attention to the employee directory in SAP Business ByDesign.
In addition to the basic ERP functionalities, part of the intranet can also be accessed in SAP Business ByDesign. For example, an employee directory is available to all employees in the company in the self-service overview.
The following three functions are available in the employee directory.
Search for employees
Company employees can be displayed and searched using various filters, such as name or department.
This is useful, for example, when the telephone number of a specific person or department is required.
In addition to the search for employees, other searches can also be carried out, such as for customers, incidents or opportunities.
Browse the organization chart
In this function, the organization chart of the company can be searched.
This can be used, for example, as a new employee to get an overview of the individual departments and their relationship to one another. In addition, the employees of the respective department can be viewed.
Edit my business contact details
In this function, contact data, such as the telephone number, the business address or the employee photo, can be changed.
