What’s new? SAP Business ByDesign – August 2018

That SAP Business ByDesign Release 1808 includes innovations in the following areas:

Supply chain management

• You will now be able to use a regular inventory cycle to ensure that all products are counted on a regular basis.
• The procurement planner can now filter and display the product requirements specifications (PRS) in the Exceptions view of the procurement planning work center.
• In addition, customer-specific fields can now be transferred to significantly more processes with additional expansion scenarios.

Supplier relationship management

• You can now add new purchase requisition lines to an existing purchase order.

• New web services for SEPA direct debit mandates enable you to create and query information on direct debit mandates for customers.

Integrated reporting

• From now on there is a new design for the SAP standard views as well as for the personalized content of the overview pages of the respective work centers.
• As a key user, you can now adapt work center overview pages in the adaptation mode in order to publish company content for other business users. You can add important KPIs and report views for the work centers centrally. In addition, you can now change the cards for the central overview page of the Home Work Center. If a user does not have authorization for a single card, that card is automatically hidden.
• Another new feature is that data sources can now also be expanded with previously unavailable standard fields. In addition, dates can now also be activated for the calculation of time periods, which improves the evaluability of processing times, for example.

Customer relationship management

• From now on, individual items of service confirmations can be marked as non-billable.
• A lot has also happened in the area of customer invoice data sources: You can now see the delivery reference number in the customer invoice data source. You can then print this out directly in the warehouse and send it together with the dispatched goods.
• Via a new web service you can now create and maintain contracts. Furthermore, service orders can now also be created directly from an Excel template, as you are used to with customer orders.
• The rearrangement of price lists is now possible in simple steps.
• In addition, the lead status management has been significantly expanded. Sales and marketing employees can now change and revise leads with even more flexibility.
